It’s Pollen Season, which is the other name for Spring in Atlanta – that time of year when every surface is covered with thick yellow dust as the flowers, trees, and grasses have a field day (literally!). The result is that every line, crevice and pockmark in our sidewalks, lawns, even our car’s finish, shows up in full detail. It’s maddening!
Our skin goes through something similar in Spring – with more of those “details” added with every Spring we experience. Although pollen doesn’t settle on our skin, the change of season can cause dryness, irritation, even sunburn (if you’re not using the proper sunscreen, let’s talk!), leaving the surface of our skin looking and feeling less-than-radiant.
Since Spring is a time of RENEWAL, perhaps it’s time to renew your commitment to taking care of yourself!
With Spring Break in the rear-view mirror, the next several weeks bring Mother’s Day, Graduation, Father’s Day, Earth Day, and Memorial Day – the official kick-off of Summer (whew!). And as the weather gets warmer, all of these celebrations include wardrobes that show off our skin, so we want to look and feel our best.
Hydrafacial is one of the very best things you can do for your skin at any time of the year. Safe – and recommended – for all skin types, Hydrafacial “vacuums away” dead skin cells, dirt, and impurities, while it hydrates your skin. Hydration is essential to the health of your body, and since your skin is your largest organ and your body’s first line of defense against toxins, it requires hydration to look good and perform its job properly.
Injectibles are perfect for those who have “Life Experience Roadmaps” showing on your skin. We love the experiences, just not the lines that result. At Head To Toe by Arlene, we have the solution for this as well, with a line of Injectibles, including Xeomin® Injectible Treatments, Radiesse® Volumizing Filler and Radiesse® Collagen Treatment, and Belotero Balance Dermal Fillers, administered by Candy Morrow, RN (by appointment).
Hair Removal is a necessity for this time of year, and Arlene offers Dermaplaning – to remove the fine hairs on the surface of your face; Electrolysis – for permanent removal of unwanted hair; and Waxing – the most effective way to achieve clean, smooth skin on your face or body.
In racing, Yellow Flags provide “warnings” about something that needs our attention. Think of Pollen Season as an alert that it’s time to give your skin the attention it deserves.
